About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their dynamic product team. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely across Germany or from offices in Köln, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin. You'll be joining a research function that shapes both immediate product decisions and long-term user experience strategy across multiple product areas.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute research studies across the full spectrum, from foundational discovery to strategic UX vision work
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across several product areas, engaging early in the problem definition phase
- Own research projects end-to-end: scoping questions, selecting methodologies, conducting studies, and translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Apply mixed-methods approaches combining qualitative and quantitative techniques (user interviews, usability testing, surveys, unmoderated testing, behavioral analytics, and market data)
- Leverage AI tools in daily research practice and help shape team adoption of emerging research technologies
- Contribute to the research repository to ensure insights are reusable and accessible across teams
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and triangulate findings with primary customer research to identify strategic opportunities
- Facilitate workshops and develop formats that effectively communicate insights to drive decision-making
What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native German proficiency plus fluent English, as most customer and seller interviews are conducted in German
- Several years of experience in qualitative and quantitative user research with in-depth expertise in UX methodologies
- Comprehensive understanding of customer-centric agile product development processes
- Strong foundation in either qualitative or quantitative research with active development of the other discipline
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and analytical thinking
- Experience conducting research at different product development stages (generative, solution validation, end-to-end)
- Proactive approach with comfort taking ownership and presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels
- Pragmatic mindset that balances research speed and depth based on decision requirements
- Current use of AI tools in research practice
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, close-knit team environment where early sharing and peer learning are valued
