Working Student – Release Support and Automation

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential medical technology organization in München that is seeking a Working Student to support release management and automation for their medical imaging software platform. This is an onsite position for up to 20 hours per week with flexibility during exam periods.

In this role, you will:

• Monitor and track software-related incidents across public and internal medical device databases using both manual research and automated routines
• Support software development and release activities by testing new features, bug fixes, and release candidates
• Help maintain and continuously improve the testing environment, ensuring stability and readiness for validation activities
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks related to incident monitoring, testing, and release management
• Support project managers with day-to-day project coordination and operational tasks
• Work alongside the development team throughout the full development cycle from early concepts to final release

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking candidates currently enrolled at a university with the following qualifications:

• Studies in computer science, health informatics, medical technology, life sciences, or a related field
• Background in biomedical imaging
• Strong interest in medical imaging and data processing
• Interest in medical device safety and vigilance data with a structured, detail-oriented approach to research and documentation
• First experience with, or strong interest in, software testing/QA concepts and release or deployment processes
• Basic programming or scripting skills and enthusiasm for automating recurring tasks, including working with GitHub workflows
• Structured and independent working style with a high level of reliability
• Good command of English in a professional environment; German is a plus
