Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Brazil seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to lead their technical governance and engineering excellence initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Support and implement corporate technology governance models aligned with industry best practices
• Create formal technical decision-making mechanisms including architecture boards, ADRs, and technology radars
• Establish guidelines for technology adoption, evolution, and discontinuation
• Ensure alignment between technology strategy and business objectives
• Develop technical maturity indicators and track their evolution
• Define architectural standards for frontend, mobile, backend, APIs, messaging, and cloud platforms
• Create reference architectures (blueprints) to accelerate new projects
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide sustainable adoption
• Ensure technical consistency across squads and business units
• Support critical architecture decisions on strategic projects
• Lead implementation of standardized CI/CD pipelines
• Structure DevSecOps practices and security automation
• Define testing standards (unit, integration, E2E) and continuous quality practices
• Evolve Developer Experience (DX) with internal tools, templates, and automation
• Ensure consistent environments and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Establish SRE practices: SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, incident management, and post-mortems
• Serve as technical reference for architects, tech leads, and senior engineers

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Solid knowledge in software engineering with proven technical leadership experience
• Experience in environments with multiple technology areas, digital products, or complex platforms
• Demonstrated track record implementing technical governance and corporate standards
• Experience with modern architectures: microservices, APIs, event-driven, cloud-native
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and DevSecOps
• Familiarity with generative AI applied to development
• Proven solid development knowledge in Java and Python
• Knowledge of frameworks including Spring, JUnit, Jakarta, TensorFlow, Django
• Strong understanding of software architecture, especially cloud-native and secure software development
• Experience with code profiling tools, particularly for analyzing application performance, databases, and monitoring infrastructure
• Knowledge of major LLM frameworks and models, especially open-source solutions, ChatGPT, and Bedrock

Preferred qualifications:

• Cloud platforms experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Observability tools (New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub)
• Mobile development (native or hybrid)
• Internal Developer Platforms experience
• Integration management with SaaS platforms
• Relevant certifications in the field
