About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing European technology scale-up entering the UK public sector market. Our client delivers smart city infrastructure to local authorities and is now building their UK operations from the ground up. As their exclusive recruitment partner, Get A Job.ai is seeking a Security Project Manager to lead technical rollouts across council sites in London and beyond.

This role sits at the intersection of field operations, partner coordination, and client service. You'll own the end-to-end delivery of hardware installations, manage third-party contractors, and serve as the technical bridge between councils and head office. If you thrive on hands-on problem-solving and want to build something from scratch, this is an excellent opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete rollout cycle of camera and sensor installations across UK council sites, from project kick-off through to final handover and sign-off
  • Configure and commission hardware units to meet each local authority's technical and compliance requirements
  • Train and certify installation partners on deployment standards, quality protocols, and uptime expectations
  • Coordinate schedules, priorities, and escalations between field contractors and head office operations teams
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for council clients, triaging issues and ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs
  • Conduct site surveys to validate equipment specifications and installation locations, producing detailed execution packs for installers
  • Manage inventory of spares and replacements to minimise service interruptions
  • Produce regular project progress reports and operational updates for senior management
  • Travel regularly across UK regions to support deployments, partner visits, and client meetings

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical delivery, field operations, or project management—ideally within public sector, local government, or similarly complex stakeholder environments
  • Proven track record deploying and commissioning physical hardware or camera systems in outdoor or challenging environments
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects while keeping all parties informed and aligned
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Full working proficiency in English
  • Valid UK driving licence (essential for site travel)
  • Bonus: Understanding of electrical systems, outdoor installations, pole/camera fixings, CCTV infrastructure, or EV charging networks
  • Bonus: Prior experience working with UK local authorities or in B2G commercial environments
