Founding Full-stack Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded early-stage technology company operating at the intersection of e-commerce infrastructure and conversational AI. Our client is building systems that enable brands to sell through next-generation AI-powered interfaces—a rapidly evolving market already processing over 100 million conversations monthly.

This is a founding engineering role with significant ownership and impact. You'll join a small, high-caliber team that has raised substantial seed funding and is already serving 150+ commercial clients in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship end-to-end features that reach millions of users, from data models and API design through to user-facing interfaces
• Scale and optimize backend systems to handle growing traffic, integrations, and product complexity
• Design and maintain clean software architecture with clear boundaries and modularity as the engineering team expands
• Work across the full technology stack—backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data—focusing on highest-impact priorities week to week
• Collaborate directly with experienced founders who have previously scaled products and engineering organizations

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong academic background, proven professional track record, or entrepreneurial background
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with structured backend architectures such as Domain-Driven Design, hexagonal architecture, or similar patterns
• Track record of owning features end-to-end: data model design through API implementation, frontend development, and production deployment
• Comfortable working with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
• Thrives in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments—founders or candidates with entrepreneurial mindsets are particularly well-suited
• Professional proficiency in both French and English

• Clean architecture patterns (hexagonal, ports & adapters)

Bonus Skills (appreciated but not required):

• Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery), Terraform
• Vector databases, embeddings, LLM integrations
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS
• TanStack (Router, Query, Table), shadcn/ui, Tailwind, Vite
• Durable workflow systems (Inngest, Temporal)
