Virtual Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential virtual healthcare organization seeking board-certified Family Nurse Practitioners to deliver comprehensive primary care remotely. Our client is building a high-performing clinical team to serve patients nationwide through telehealth platforms, and we're looking for experienced providers who are passionate about accessible, patient-centered medicine.

In this role, you'll manage your own patient panel, providing ongoing care across acute, chronic, and preventive needs through video and phone consultations. You'll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team while maintaining the autonomy to build lasting relationships with the patients you serve.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality virtual primary care through video visits, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education
• Independently manage a patient panel with comprehensive care across the full spectrum of primary care needs
• Collaborate with care management and case management teams to develop and support patient care plans
• Partner with supervising physicians as required by state regulations and practice guidelines
• Work with credentialing teams to obtain additional state licenses as the practice expands
• Maintain excellent patient satisfaction and quality metrics through evidence-based practice and compassionate communication
• Effectively utilize telehealth platforms while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Stay current with evolving medical knowledge, treatments, and best practices
• Adhere to assigned schedules, including evening and weekend coverage as outlined below
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and protect patient information security

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Credentials:

• Minimum four years of primary care experience in an ambulatory or outpatient family medicine/internal medicine setting
• Demonstrated experience independently managing a patient panel as the primary care provider
• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner and RN license in your state of residence
• Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed (multi-state licensure highly preferred)
• Current board certification through ANCC or AANP
• Active Medicare enrollment with no exclusions, sanctions, or reprimands from state/federal healthcare programs, OIG, or GSA
• Comfort managing a broad variety of medical conditions across acute, chronic, and preventive care
• Ability and willingness to treat patients of all ages across the lifespan

Work Environment & Technical Requirements:

• Professional, private, and secure home office environment suitable for confidential patient visits
• Strong technology proficiency with electronic health record systems; telehealth experience preferred
• Proven ability to manage high patient volumes and competing priorities while maintaining care quality
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex medical information in patient-friendly language
• Demonstrated empathy and compassion when supporting patients and families through challenging situations

Schedule Requirements:

• 40 hours per week consisting of 8-hour shifts, primarily Monday through Friday
• One 8-hour weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) every fourth weekend, with a compensating weekday off that week
• Standard shift hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM in your local time zone
• One evening shift per week extending until at least 7:00 PM

Pay

This is a full-time, remote position. The target base salary range for this role is $125,000 annually, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Actual compensation will depend on your experience, credentials, licensure, and geographic location.
