Staff Software Engineer (SRE)

We are representing a confidential blockchain technology client seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on Site Reliability Engineering. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work on infrastructure that supports millions of users accessing decentralized financial systems at massive scale.

Our client has achieved significant market adoption and works with leading names in the fintech and blockchain space. As their user base continues to grow exponentially, they need experienced infrastructure engineers who can ensure reliability, performance, and security at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across production environments
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Pulumi to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
• Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and resource utilization across distributed systems
• Configure and maintain blockchain node infrastructure across multiple networks to support wallet operations
• Optimize and scale database infrastructure to efficiently handle terabytes of blockchain data
• Continuously improve system uptime, monitoring, and observability using modern tooling like Datadog and OpenTelemetry
• Collaborate closely with backend and product teams to support feature development and system scaling initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Software Engineering roles with infrastructure focus
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments at scale
• Deep proficiency with AWS infrastructure and services including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM
• Solid experience with Docker and containerized application deployment
• Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
• Strong background in monitoring and observability using tools like Datadog or OpenTelemetry
• Experience optimizing database performance and scaling strategies
