People Partner – Content

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a fast-scaling fintech organization in their search for an experienced People Partner to support their Content function. This is a fully embedded role working alongside editorial, legal, credit, and distressed teams across the UK and US. You'll partner directly with senior leadership to shape organizational design, talent strategy, and people operations as the function scales rapidly.

This isn't a traditional HR support role. You'll be a trusted advisor with a real voice in leadership meetings, editorial rituals, and strategic off-sites. You'll know the teams well enough to spot people issues early and coach leaders through solutions before they escalate.

Responsibilities

Strategic People Partnership

• Act as trusted advisor and thought partner to Content leadership on all people-related matters
• Serve as right hand to the Chief Content Officer, acting as proxy with leaders when needed
• Embed yourself in team rituals, meetings, and channels to maintain real-time understanding of how teams operate
• Lead organizational design efforts, advising on structure, identifying gaps, and flagging future risks as the function scales
• Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning, development plans, and proactive pipeline building with the Talent team
• Design and deliver learning and development programs addressing editorial craft, analytical rigor, management skills, and leadership development
• Lead compensation planning using solid data to inform salary bands, ensuring equity and fairness across the team
• Coach leaders through performance management, helping teams deliver while maintaining high standards

Tactical People Operations

• Manage all employee relations cases in compliance with UK employment law, including PIPs, grievances, probation, parental leave, flexible working requests, and conflict resolution
• Embed people systems and products across your business area, delivering training and championing adoption
• Pull and analyze HR data to support decision-making, adding context that turns metrics into actionable insights
• Provide 1:1 wellbeing support to employees and coach managers through sensitive conversations
• Act as cultural ambassador, reinforcing organizational values and modeling desired behaviors

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in fast-paced tech, fintech, or start-up environments
• Significant experience partnering with content, editorial, research, or analyst teams
• Strong grasp of UK employment law with awareness of New York employment law
• Demonstrated ability to confidently challenge and influence senior executives as a true partner
• Experience with HRIS and ATS software (HiBob, Lattice, and Ashby experience beneficial)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to context-switch between strategic and tactical work

Pay

Pay and benefits will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive for this level in the London market.
