Grants Specialist – Temporary Position – Office of the County Judge

What This Role Involves

You'll serve as a key member of the County Judge's office, focusing on identifying and pursuing grant funding to support Fort Bend County's mission. Working full-time and on-site in Richmond, you'll bridge county departments with government and foundation funding sources, helping transform ideas into resources that benefit the community.

Responsibilities

• Search for and evaluate grant opportunities from federal, state, and foundation sources that align with county priorities
• Write competitive grant applications including narratives, budgets, and supporting materials
• Engage with funding agency representatives to clarify requirements and strengthen submissions
• Partner with county departments to collect information, data, and project details needed for applications
• Track awarded grants, manage reporting obligations, and monitor spending against approved budgets
• Organize and maintain comprehensive grant administration records and documentation
