About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology services organization seeking an experienced Professional Services Consultant with deep expertise in Fortinet networking and security solutions. This role centers on delivering enterprise-grade network infrastructure projects from design through implementation for Fortune 1000 clients across the United States.

As the technical lead on client engagements, you'll architect and deploy complex multi-vendor environments spanning next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless infrastructure, and security platforms. This is a client-facing consultative position requiring both advanced technical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional services engagements focused on Fortinet enterprise deployments
• Design and implement complex network architectures including LAN/WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and security infrastructure
• Conduct network assessments, migrations, and upgrades in multi-vendor enterprise environments
• Develop Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, implementation plans, topology diagrams, and technical documentation
• Provide expert technical guidance on solutions aligned with client business objectives
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced networking and security issues across Fortinet and complementary platforms
• Collaborate with project management and engagement teams to ensure successful delivery
• Gather client requirements, build proof of concepts, and execute implementation projects
• Deliver consultative knowledge transfer and training to client technical teams
• Stay current with industry trends and maintain relevant certifications

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 7+ years of hands-on network and security implementation experience
• Deep expertise with Fortinet product suite: FortiGate (NGFW, SD-WAN, VPN, HA), FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, FortiToken, FortiClient EMS, FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiSandbox, FortiSIEM, FortiNAC, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP
• Proficiency with industry-standard network and security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, packet capture, network assessments, and configurations
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Certifications:

• NSE 4 – FortiGate Security
• NSE 5 – FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer
• NSE 6 – Specialized Security
• NSE 7 – Enterprise Firewall

Highly Valued Secondary Skills:

• Experience with Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, ASA/Firepower, DNA Center, ISE)
• Palo Alto platforms (Firewalls, Panorama, Prisma)
• Juniper (EX, SRX, MX, Mist AI, Junos OS)
• Aruba (ClearPass, AirWave, Central, Mobility Controllers)
• Wireless controllers and enterprise access points
• Security policy management platforms (ISE, ClearPass)
• MFA integration solutions
• Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, OracleCloud)
• Advanced protocols: IPSec, STP, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6
• VMware vSphere/ESX administration

Professional Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact confidently with C-level stakeholders
• Strong consultative approach to gathering requirements and defining project scope
• Self-starter with outstanding organizational and time management abilities
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize across multiple client engagements
• Willingness to travel nationally to client sites
