DBS Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical technology organization seeking a DBS Consultant to support the Middle East and North Africa region. This home-office position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and requires proximity to a major airport hub to facilitate travel across the territory (up to 75%).

Our client is a leader in image-guided surgery solutions, and this role will focus on functional neurosurgery applications, particularly deep brain stimulation and epilepsy management. You will serve as the regional subject matter expert, working closely with clinical teams to implement state-of-the-art workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional neurosurgery portfolio expert for the MENA region, developing deep scientific knowledge in deep brain stimulation, epilepsy management, and related clinical workflows
• Lead product demonstrations of functional neurosurgery software and platform solutions to physicians and hospital personnel
• Provide on-site consulting and technical support during surgical procedures, evaluating options and problem-solving to support optimal patient outcomes
• Deliver comprehensive training and education to physicians, OR staff, radiology teams, biomedical engineers, and IT personnel
• Develop and conduct training programs for local teams and collaborate with regional support staff to enable in-house training capabilities
• Maintain current knowledge of competitive image-guided surgery products and market developments through ongoing research and analysis
• Provide feedback to product management teams on clinical improvements and quality enhancements
• Collaborate with account managers on regional strategy to maximize software and platform solution adoption
• Partner with medical device companies on regional strategy for image-guided workflow implementation
• Build and maintain relationships with clinical stakeholders, assessing satisfaction and product usage levels
• Identify, conceive, and drive approved clinical marketing initiatives
• Execute region-specific programs within the broader marketing plan
• Attend conferences and trade shows to demonstrate and promote functional neurosurgery solutions

What We're Looking For

• BSc in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or equivalent medical-based degree; neuroscience background is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in medical technology or medical devices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen to physician and customer needs and manage complex field dynamics
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills across diverse audiences, from clinical end-users to partner company representatives
• Ability to understand highly technical product solutions and translate them into clear value propositions
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with proven ability to make independent decisions
• Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Comfortable managing changing priorities and demanding deadlines
• Fluency in spoken and written English (required)
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% across the MENA region
