Senior Video Editor – Remote | Full-Time

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential US-based media organization seeking a Senior Video Editor to join their content production team on a full-time, remote basis. This role focuses on cinematic long-form documentary editing (10–45+ minutes) alongside short-form social content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.

You'll work directly with producers on scripted, voiceover-driven narrative projects, owning the edit from raw footage through to published asset. The production team provides scripts, sourced footage, and clear briefs—you bring storytelling instinct and technical craft to create emotionally engaging, viewer-focused content.

Location: Remote (Philippines-based candidates preferred)
Schedule: 60 hours/week, Monday–Saturday, 4PM–2AM (+8 GMT) to align with US daytime operations

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form documentary content (10–45+ minutes) with cinematic and journalistic tone
• Adapt the same material into short-form social clips optimized for platform-specific requirements (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, Facebook)
• Deliver all assigned edits on or before deadline, typically within two revision rounds
• Maintain narrative structure, pacing, and emotional engagement across both long-form and short-form output
• Handle audio mixing, color correction, B-roll integration, sound design, and subtitle formatting
• Self-manage file organization via Google Drive or Dropbox and troubleshoot technical issues independently
• Communicate proactively via Slack, responding within 15–30 minutes during working hours
• Achieve 70%+ first-submission sign-off by month three and anticipate recurring feedback before submission

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years hands-on experience editing narrative, documentary, or long-form content
• Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Proven portfolio showcasing both long-form narrative work and short-form social clips
• Excellent spoken and written English with strong, proactive communication skills
• Strong instincts for pacing, hook structure, and emotional storytelling
• Confident handling of platform-specific requirements (aspect ratios, opening seconds, caption styles) for social video
• Availability for 60 hours per week, Monday–Saturday, with US daytime overlap
• Fast and reliable internet connection
• Your own laptop or desktop suitable for professional video editing
• Quiet working environment and good quality microphone or headset
