Sr. Advisor AI Transformation & Automation (w/m/d) E-Commerce

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cloud services organization with a significant e-commerce presence in Germany. We are seeking a Senior Advisor for AI Transformation & Automation to drive the adoption of artificial intelligence across digital commerce operations. In this role, you will serve as both strategic consultant and hands-on builder, enabling operational teams to leverage AI-powered tools and workflows while bridging the gap between innovation and practical implementation.

This position is based in Karlsruhe and offers hybrid work flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Enable operational experts by acting as strategic advisor, technical mentor, and hands-on implementer of AI solutions across e-commerce functions
• Drive process transformation by identifying and integrating AI tools into existing workflows for campaign ideation, creation, and analysis
• Lead AI transformation initiatives across online sales platforms and digital commerce touchpoints, bringing stakeholder organizations along on the journey
• Advise teams on leveraging AI to enhance personalization and effectiveness in marketing campaigns and sales initiatives
• Serve as requirements engineering lead for internal tools, defining clear business requirements that development teams can implement within core infrastructure
• Build functional prototypes of AI-based processes using internal and external tools, including natural language coding approaches, to prove concepts and validate requirements
• Translate complex AI logic into accessible explanations for non-technical colleagues
• Convert business requirements into precise technical specifications for external development teams

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in digital transformation, marketing technology, or development with clear focus on AI implementation
• Hands-on builder mentality—you don't just advise, you build; comfortable with rapid prototyping, "vibe coding," and diving deep into AI tools to test what works in practice
• Natural enabler mindset: you find success in helping others succeed and can explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders with ease
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into precise technical specifications for development teams
• Fluent English required; German or other European languages are a plus
• Experience working in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online sales environments strongly preferred
