Product Engineer – Frontend (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded construction technology startup in Berlin that is building a collaborative scheduling platform. Our client is backed by prominent venture capital firms and is experiencing strong growth with over €2.5M in ARR. They maintain a quality-focused culture similar to companies like Linear and Ashby.

We're seeking a Product Engineer - Frontend to join their small, high-performing team. This is a hybrid role requiring 2+ days per week in their Berlin office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement new features in a cross-functional environment
• Build and maintain user-facing components using Vue.js and TypeScript
• Develop backend services and APIs as needed, working toward full-stack capabilities
• Contribute to overall system architecture decisions
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Implement best practices for software development, infrastructure, and deployment processes
• Balance technical trade-offs while considering scalability, performance, and maintainability

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on frontend development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Vue 3
• Experience with modern frontend tooling (Tailwind, build systems, CI/CD)
• Solid engineering fundamentals with ability to write clean, efficient code
• Flexibility to work across the stack - comfortable with both frontend (50-80%) and backend (20-50%) tasks depending on project needs
• Long-term interest in becoming a full-stack engineer
• Understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, and backend technologies (NestJS, PostgreSQL, AWS is a plus)
• Product-minded approach with focus on end-user experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong ownership mentality and proactive problem-solving skills
• Located in Berlin or willing to relocate to Berlin
• Work authorization for Germany

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €65,000-90,000 base salary. Our client also offers 25% of base salary in equity, 28 days PTO, €1,500 annual training budget, company pension contribution, Urban Sports Club membership, home office budget, and additional benefits.
