What This Role Involves

As a Supervising Producer, you'll serve as a key editorial leader within our Spanish-language news division. You'll oversee story development, coordinate with reporters and segment producers, and maintain the editorial integrity that audiences expect from CNN. Your work will span traditional broadcast production alongside emerging digital formats, ensuring seamless storytelling across platforms in Miami's vibrant Hispanic media landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of producers, providing editorial guidance and constructive feedback on story selection and presentation
• Review and approve content before broadcast, ensuring accuracy, compliance with editorial standards, and cultural relevance for Spanish-speaking audiences
• Collaborate with reporters, news directors, and technical staff to coordinate complex assignments and breaking news coverage
• Develop story strategy, identify emerging topics of importance to the Miami Hispanic community, and allocate resources effectively
• Monitor editorial performance, troubleshoot production challenges, and implement improvements to workflow and output quality
• Maintain familiarity with digital platforms, social media trends, and audience engagement metrics to adapt content strategy

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a producer or senior editorial role in television news or digital media, with demonstrated leadership abilities
• Native or fluent Spanish language proficiency with strong communication skills in both Spanish and English
• Deep knowledge of news production workflows, editorial standards, and broadcast journalism practices
• Understanding of Hispanic communities and cultural nuance relevant to news storytelling in the US market
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to make sound editorial decisions under deadline pressure
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom environment
