About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking a Senior Data Migration & BI Consultant to join their team in Romania. Our client specializes in enterprise data solutions and digital transformation initiatives across multiple sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to architect and implement modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, working with complex SAP data migration projects and building robust business intelligence capabilities for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Understand and translate business reporting and KPI requirements into technical solutions
- Design and implement Data Warehouse structures and analytical models
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines migrating data from SAP systems into Microsoft Fabric
- Create Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and OneLake solutions following modern data architecture principles
- Design Star Schema models including Fact and Dimension tables for analytical use cases
- Support Power BI dataset development, semantic model design, and enterprise reporting solutions
- Ensure data governance, lineage tracking, and consistency across reporting platforms
What We're Looking For
- Background as a Data Engineer, BI Consultant, or Analytics Consultant with demonstrable project experience
- Strong expertise in Data Warehousing methodologies, particularly Kimball dimensional modeling
- Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and query optimization
- Proven Power BI development capabilities including DAX and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric platform and its components
- Understanding of SAP reporting data structures is highly advantageous
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
