Independent Manufacturer Representative – Building Envelope Systems

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential building materials manufacturer seeking Independent Manufacturer Representatives across the United States. This commission-based role offers uncapped earning potential for driven sales professionals with established networks in the commercial construction space.

Our client specializes in advanced wall and roof panel systems that support rapid, sustainable construction. They are expanding market presence and need experienced representatives who can independently drive specifications and revenue growth within assigned territories.

Responsibilities

• Independently represent and promote building envelope products within your assigned territory, communicating technical specifications and industry standards accurately
• Develop and manage professional relationships with architects, contractors, commercial developers, property owners, and other key decision-makers
• Identify, pursue, and support project opportunities to meet agreed-upon annual sales and specification objectives
• Prospect for and secure new accounts to expand market presence and grow revenue opportunities
• Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking activities to support business development efforts
• Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM or reporting tools
• Provide periodic updates on sales activity, pipeline status, and market feedback

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 10+ years of experience in business development or as a sales agent within the construction or building materials industry
• Existing relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and owners
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials procurement, and sustainable building practices
• Familiarity with sustainable building technologies, LEED, or similar frameworks
• Proven ability to drive specifications, revenue growth, and close large-scale deals
• Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• Experience working with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
• Knowledge of green building technologies

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based role with uncapped earning potential. High-performing representatives can earn commissions up to 10% with an OTE (On-Target Earnings) ranging from $90,000 to $250,000 annually. The flexible, independent work structure rewards initiative and results.
