SEO Content Executive

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential ecommerce client in the pet healthcare sector who is seeking an SEO Content Executive to join their growing marketing team. This hybrid role is based in Keynsham, Bristol, requiring three days per week on-site.

Our client operates a leading online platform helping pet owners access trusted products and information. As part of a larger veterinary care organization, they combine ecommerce agility with healthcare expertise to make pet care more accessible to customers across the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to drive organic growth through strategic content creation in a fast-paced environment where variety and collaboration are part of daily work.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and proofread engaging web content across blogs, buying guides, category pages, landing pages, product descriptions, and FAQs
• Conduct keyword research and translate findings into effective content strategies
• Write SEO-focused content that improves visibility, traffic, and conversion rates
• Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and site structure
• Use AI-powered tools responsibly to enhance content creation efficiency while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Maintain brand tone of voice across all content touchpoints
• Publish and update content within the CMS
• Monitor content performance using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and platforms like Semrush
• Interpret SEO and performance data to identify optimization opportunities
• Support digital PR activities with compelling content
• Ensure all content complies with relevant regulations, particularly within pet healthcare

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Exceptional written English with strong proofreading ability
• Proven experience creating and editing web content
• Demonstrable SEO experience including keyword research, search intent analysis, on-page optimization, and internal linking strategies
• Experience using SEO platforms such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support content creation and optimization
• Confidence working within a content management system
• Ability to analyze and interpret SEO and performance data
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with internal stakeholders and external agencies

Desirable:

• Experience within B2C ecommerce or retail environments
• Digital PR or brand authority-building experience
• Experience writing about pets, animal health, or veterinary care
• Familiarity with Adobe Commerce (Magento)
• Basic HTML knowledge
