(Junior) Art Director – Performance & Social Design (m/w/d) – Hamburg/Köln/Remote

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital marketing agency seeking a talented (Junior) Art Director specializing in Performance & Social Design. In this role, you will transform strategic objectives into high-performing visual content across social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Concepting and designing creative digital campaigns and high-performing content for all relevant social media channels
• Developing brand identities visually and creating tailored social media style guides and layout systems for client brands
• Ensuring the highest aesthetic standards across all digital assets while implementing fresh design and typography trends
• Collaborating closely with strategists and UX/UI designers to turn concepts into measurable performance
• Utilizing modern design tools including Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Canva efficiently, while proactively exploring new digital design tools for optimized workflows

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with:

• A degree or training in graphic design or communication design; initial agency experience is valuable, but high motivation and ambition are equally important
• Strong proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma as daily tools, plus confident use of Canva alongside traditional design software
• Deep understanding of platform-specific requirements for TikTok, Instagram, and similar channels, with an excellent eye for typography and layout
• Hands-on mindset with high quality standards, structured work approach, and strong team communication skills
• Fluent German and good English language skills
• Passion for outstanding visual design, social media trends, and elevating digital brand presence
