Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant (m/w/d)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential family-owned manufacturing organization in the health and wellness sector, currently implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as their new ERP system. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, based in Rüsselsheim, Germany, with hybrid working arrangements available.

Our client is replacing their legacy system landscape with Business Central and needs an experienced functional consultant to ensure the solution works effectively for daily operations across all departments. You'll report to the Senior Project Lead for Digitalization and work closely with stakeholders across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, and production.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across Finance, Purchase, Sales, and Inventory/Warehouse modules, including foundational Manufacturing/Production functionality
• Facilitate workshops with business units for process discovery, planning, and steering migration and implementation activities
• Design and deliver key-user and end-user training programs
• Develop test cases, coordinate UAT, and conduct end-to-end testing to ensure successful go-live
• Implement role-based security concepts and batch/serial number traceability requirements

What We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV, with a focus on functional consulting
• Strong expertise in Finance, Purchase, Sales, and Inventory/Warehouse modules; foundational knowledge of Manufacturing/Production
• Experience with batch and serial number management and traceability, ideally in regulated or manufacturing environments
• Proven track record with ERP implementations and data migrations, including facilitating workshops, training sessions, and test phases
• Basic understanding of Power Platform (development skills in Power Apps not required)
• Standard-first mentality: you prefer lean, maintainable solutions over excessive customization
• Strong communication skills and business-fluent German (negotiation-level proficiency required)
