Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise

We are representing a confidential data infrastructure organization that is transforming how enterprises move, manage, and trust their data. Our client serves thousands of organizations globally, helping them build reliable data foundations for analytics and business intelligence.

We're seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Enterprise sales team. In this role, you will partner with account executives to understand complex technical requirements and demonstrate how our client's solutions deliver measurable business value. You'll lead technical discovery, architect proof-of-value engagements, and ensure Enterprise prospects have the expertise they need to make confident decisions.

This is a remote position based in Dublin or London.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Enterprise prospects to understand their data architecture, business objectives, and technical requirements
• Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations tailored to diverse audiences, from data engineers to C-level executives
• Design and execute structured proof-of-value processes that demonstrate ROI and technical feasibility
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to address technical challenges and drive product improvements
• Support multiple sales representatives simultaneously while maintaining exceptional technical rigor and customer focus
• Maintain current knowledge of data infrastructure trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
• Mentor team members through complex technical evaluations and business scenarios

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or related technical roles within data infrastructure or enterprise software
• Strong technical foundation in database replication, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and data pipeline technologies
• Hands-on experience with data transformation tooling (dbt or similar frameworks)
• Working knowledge of modern data stack components: cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks), BI platforms, and data catalogs
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL technologies
• Practical experience with ETL or data replication tools in production environments
• Proficiency with self-hosted software deployments and supporting infrastructure
• Understanding of networking concepts in both cloud and on-premise environments
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience building or managing technology partner relationships
• Deep expertise in enterprise security and compliance frameworks
• Container orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
• Background supporting both SaaS and self-hosted deployment models

Pay
