About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Senior Product Manager. Our client is a fast-growing payment technology platform serving enterprise e-commerce and technology businesses across the UK and Europe. This is a strategic role with genuine scope to shape product direction during a period of significant scaling and market expansion.
As Senior Product Manager, you will take strategic ownership of a core product domain, setting vision, defining roadmaps, and leading discovery across commercial, technical, and operational functions. You'll operate as both strategist and decision-maker, partnering closely with senior leadership while collaborating with Product Owners who translate strategy into structured delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own a product domain end-to-end, maintaining accountability for strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes while balancing merchant value with business impact
- Define and champion the roadmap in partnership with product leadership, grounding decisions in market insight, customer evidence, and commercial opportunity
- Lead discovery activities by identifying relevant customer and prospect personas (payments teams, finance teams), engaging with representative users to identify core payment challenges
- Produce prototypes to articulate requirements and facilitate stakeholder alignment internally and externally
- Gather market intelligence on target customer segments, understanding what payment capabilities mean for their business, and capture competitive trends in collaboration with marketing
- Define and own success metrics for your product domain, maintaining accountability to outcomes rather than delivery milestones alone
- Bridge strategy and execution by partnering with Product Owners to transform requirements into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria
- Govern the backlog with rigour, reviewing and triaging enhancement requests to ensure proper sequencing aligned with strategic priorities
- Enable seamless merchant onboarding by equipping implementation teams with necessary product context and knowledge
- Contribute to the maturation of product practices as the organization scales its team and capabilities
What We're Looking For
- Proven success as a Senior Product Manager in the payments industry with a track record of owning the full product lifecycle from strategy through delivery
- Deep knowledge of the payments landscape and substantial experience navigating complex merchant domains and requirements
- Advanced understanding of merchant workflows with ability to bridge commercial objectives and technical builds
- Familiarity with payment orchestration, gateway infrastructure, and/or e-commerce technology platforms
- Demonstrated ability to define product vision, lead roadmap prioritization, and communicate rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Tangible track record integrating AI into professional toolkit to drive customer outcomes, including innovative prototyping, product enhancement, and workflow optimization
- Strong command of Agile methodologies with experience using Jira and Confluence
- Ability to manage competing stakeholder demands with confidence, diplomacy, and clear reasoning
- Commercial acumen grounded in both customer value and business impact
- Background in iGaming, gambling, or sports betting (nice to have)
- Experience working in remote or distributed teams (nice to have)
