Senior PHP Engineer – Moldova

About This Role

We are representing a confidential software development organization seeking a Senior PHP Engineer to join their growing technical team in Moldova. This is a remote opportunity working on backend systems, API development, and customer integrations within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend features using PHP and modern Symfony libraries
• Build and support APIs and integrations for customer-facing platforms
• Troubleshoot complex technical and integration challenges
• Work within an AWS and MySQL technology stack
• Incorporate AI tools into your daily development workflow
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions

What We're Looking For

• Strong professional experience in PHP backend development
• Experience with Symfony or modern Symfony libraries
• Solid knowledge of MySQL database systems
• Hands-on experience working with AWS infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities
• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and tackle fresh challenges
• Comfort using AI tools as part of everyday software development
• Nice to have: experience with Rust or Python, or strong interest in learning either language
