As Group CFO, you will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, President, Board, and Investment Committee, ensuring disciplined capital allocation, strong financial performance, balance-sheet resilience, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation. This enterprise-wide role requires sophisticated financial leadership across insurance operations, investment portfolios, asset management, and regulated financial institutions.

Responsibilities

You will assume enterprise-wide responsibility for our client's financial affairs, including:

• Developing and executing group-wide financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives
• Overseeing consolidated P&L, financial performance, profitability, balance sheet, cash flow, and capital position across all subsidiaries and business lines
• Leading annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial planning, and performance management
• Providing executive oversight of insurance finance, including premiums, claims, reserves, underwriting results, loss ratios, and combined ratios
• Partnering with the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee on investment strategy, portfolio performance, asset allocation, liquidity, and risk-adjusted returns
• Leading group-wide capital planning, capital optimization, solvency monitoring, leverage, and financial resilience
• Overseeing asset-liability management to ensure investment portfolios align with insurance liabilities and liquidity requirements
• Managing treasury, liquidity, cash management, banking relationships, and funding strategies
• Leading capital-raising initiatives, debt issuance, refinancing, and relationships with banks, institutional investors, and capital-market participants
• Evaluating M&A opportunities, strategic investments, joint ventures, financial due diligence, and deal structuring
• Ensuring accurate consolidated financial reporting, statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and compliance with accounting standards
• Maintaining strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and stakeholder relationships with regulators, auditors, and rating agencies
• Establishing enterprise-wide financial risk-management frameworks covering market, credit, liquidity, underwriting, and investment risks
• Overseeing tax strategy, planning, compliance, and governance across subsidiaries and jurisdictions
• Developing investor and stakeholder relations, financial communications, and capital-market activities
• Driving finance transformation, modernizing systems, processes, ERP, FP&A, and business intelligence capabilities
• Leading the Group Finance function and developing high-performing finance teams across subsidiaries

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience:

• 18+ years of progressive finance experience with substantial Group or enterprise-level leadership
• Previous experience as Group CFO, CFO, Deputy Group CFO, Group Finance Director, or equivalent
• Significant experience within insurance, investment management, asset management, banking, pensions, reinsurance, or diversified financial services
• Proven experience managing complex group structures, subsidiaries, investment entities, and regulated businesses
• Strong understanding of insurance financial reporting, capital and solvency requirements, investment portfolios, and balance-sheet management
• Demonstrated experience in capital allocation, treasury, liquidity, financial planning, and enterprise risk
• Experience working directly with Boards, CEOs, regulators, auditors, investors, lenders, and rating agencies

Preferred Experience:

• Previous Group CFO experience within a diversified insurance or investment group
• Experience covering both insurance operations and investment/asset-management businesses
• Exposure to life insurance, general insurance, reinsurance, pensions, or institutional investment
• Experience managing significant investment portfolios and asset-liability management
• Proven experience with M&A, capital raising, restructuring, or international expansion
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent strongly preferred
• MBA or Master's degree in Finance/Business is advantageous
