About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential specialty insurance organization seeking a Business Development Intern to support their growing sales operations. This internship offers balanced exposure to data analytics, sales support, and business development activities within the employee benefits sector. The role is remote within the United States and provides hands-on experience combining Excel-based analysis, market research, and strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support sales operations through data gathering, organization, reporting, and analysis using Excel and AI-enabled tools
• Conduct market research on prospective clients, industries, and growth opportunities to inform strategic planning
• Create and maintain prospect databases, pipeline reports, business development trackers, and sales dashboards
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights
• Prepare client-facing presentations, sales materials, reports, and business development communications
• Participate in lead generation initiatives through prospect identification and market research
• Support business development outreach and relationship-building activities
• Collaborate with sales leaders on strategic projects and growth initiatives
• Assist with process improvement efforts to increase efficiency across business development operations
• Contribute ideas during team meetings to support client engagement and organizational growth

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field
• Strong interest in sales, business development, relationship management, or analytics
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with comfort working with large datasets
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities remotely
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute
• Currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must reside and remain physically located within the United States for the internship duration

Preferred:

• Previous internship, leadership, sales, customer service, or business development experience
• Exposure to data analysis, reporting, market research, or business intelligence projects
• Familiarity with AI-powered productivity, research, or data analytics tools
• Interest in insurance, employee benefits, consulting, or financial services industries
