About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Data Analyst who thrives on solving complex technical problems. Our client is a remote-first company building financial technology products, and they need someone who can trace data issues to their source, collaborate across engineering and product teams, and help build more reliable systems.

This role reports directly to executive leadership and offers significant impact in a fast-growing space. You'll be the person who asks "why" when something breaks, digs into pipelines and code to find answers, and documents solutions that prevent future issues.

Responsibilities

  • Trace issues back through data pipelines or code to uncover why something isn't behaving as expected
  • Write clear, concise tickets explaining what was found, how it was fixed, and how to prevent similar issues
  • Partner with engineers and product managers to make data and code more reliable, faster, and easier to understand
  • Help build a culture of technical curiosity where asking why and testing assumptions is part of every release
  • Leverage AI tools to think, build, and ship faster
  • Develop data-driven insights that help improve user experience and drive conversion rates

What We're Looking For

  • Curiosity about how systems, code, and data work with a knack to pull things apart and see what's really happening under the hood
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Python
  • Experience digging into JSONs, logs, or API outputs to validate what's flowing through the system
  • Comfortable reading and reasoning about someone else's code and identifying where things might be slowing down
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear next steps by chasing root causes
  • A mindset that values being less wrong each time—you approach analysis with humility, rigor, and a desire to continuously improve
  • Analytical skills to develop data-driven insights
  • A belief that AI is reshaping work, and you instinctively use it to accelerate everything you do
