Internship Go-to-Market Engineering, AI & Automation (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the renewable energy technology sector. They are seeking an intern to help build the technical infrastructure that powers their go-to-market operations across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.

This is a hands-on technical role where you will build internal tools, automate workflows, integrate systems, and deploy AI solutions that directly impact revenue generation. You will work closely with commercial teams and leadership to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that create measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the technical systems that power the customer lifecycle from initial lead through to closed customer and expansion
• Develop internal applications and workflows that enable sales and customer success teams to make faster, data-driven decisions
• Identify and automate repetitive processes across lead enrichment, routing, qualification, follow-ups, pipeline management, customer onboarding, and retention
• Connect GTM stack components and ensure reliable data flow between systems
• Build AI-powered workflows for lead qualification and prioritization, call and interaction analysis, opportunity identification, and operational automation
• Rapidly prototype and test new models and tools, converting successful experiments into production-ready internal products
• Personally implement solutions using Python, TypeScript, n8n workflows, API integrations, or database queries as needed
• Measure and report on commercial impact including pipeline generation, conversion rates, sales cycle length, and retention metrics

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in Python and/or TypeScript
• Proven experience building automations and integrations using tools like n8n and APIs
• Comfortable working with databases, APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
• Interest in SaaS sales, marketing, and customer success operations and the systems that drive revenue
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions independently
• Bias toward shipping quickly and iterating rather than pursuing perfection
• Fluent English required; German or another European language is a plus

Bonus points for:

• Experience in a dynamic startup environment working on technical solutions
• Familiarity with platforms such as HubSpot, Aircall, Stripe, Intercom, PostHog, or similar tools
• Prior work on internal tools, AI agents, lead-scoring systems, enrichment pipelines, or automated outbound workflows
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth startups where ownership and speed were priorities
