Software Engineer, Platform – Toulouse, France

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing technology company seeking a Software Engineer, Platform based in Toulouse, France. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining critical backend services that power the client's product ecosystem.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs including public-facing APIs and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and usage tracking
• Overseeing the backend API landscape, continuously enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Contributing to B2B solutions with a focus on customization and integration requirements for enterprise clients
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture aligns with overall product strategy and user experience goals

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required)
• Direct hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact, moving efficiently from ideation to implementation
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments (preferred)
• Proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• A track record of delivering results consistently in a remote, distributed work environment
