Customer Engagement Representative

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare distribution organization seeking a Customer Engagement Representative to join their US-based operations. This is a full-time role supporting veterinary and animal health accounts through inbound and outbound sales engagement.

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time
Location: United States (remote options may be available)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Partner with Territory Managers on sales strategies to maximize revenue with assigned and prospective accounts
• Answer incoming calls from established accounts to process sales orders and resolve customer service issues
• Initiate proactive outbound calls to grow sales revenue and develop customer loyalty
• Assist customers in researching and purchasing both stocked and non-stocked veterinary products
• Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with purchasers and utilizing available reference materials
• Support customers with product returns for incorrect or damaged merchandise within established guidelines
• Process orders efficiently for assigned territory accounts
• Monitor backorder status and provide proactive updates to customers
• Gather and share relevant account information with Territory Manager partners
• Contact accounts to communicate special offers, programs, and industry information
• Support general queue sales calls as needed
• Attend weekly sales meetings to stay current on new products and industry changes

What We're Looking For

Education (Preferred):

• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology, Bachelor's degree in an animal health field, or equivalent agricultural degree

Experience (Preferred):

• 3+ years working in a veterinary clinic environment, OR
• 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in an animal health call center

Essential Skills:

• Product knowledge and ability to explain veterinary/animal health products effectively
• Strong verbal communication skills in individual and group settings
• Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to build relationships and earn customer loyalty
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Self-motivated with strong goal-setting and time management abilities
• High work commitment and willingness to go the extra mile to achieve objectives
