About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Remote Psychologist Reviewer specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This mission-driven role focuses on authorizing and monitoring behavioral health care for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ensuring evidence-based treatment and adherence to medical necessity standards.

This is a fully remote position based in Canada, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct peer reviews with psychologists, behavioral health therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts for outpatient services and psychological testing requests
• Authorize, direct, and monitor care for behavioral health and substance abuse cases according to clinical information and internal criteria for medical necessity
• Interact with network practitioners to provide education on best practice models and utilization management processes
• Collaborate with Medical Directors or designees to discuss clinical authorization questions and concerns regarding specific cases
• Respond to state, provider, and member complaints related to psychological testing and other services requiring clinical review
• Facilitate outpatient rounds, offering clinical input and oversight related to outpatient behavioral health services
• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and standards

What We're Looking For

• Education: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, or related field required
• Experience: 2+ years in behavioral health required
• License: Active, unrestricted Psychologist license (PhD or PsyD) required; must hold an active California Psychologist license
• Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D) preferred
• Working knowledge of psychological tests and testing procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices
• Specialized knowledge of assessment and treatment approaches designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for improving access to quality behavioral health care
