Purview Expert (m/w/d)

Overview

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization serving private and governmental clients across Europe. Our talent team is seeking a Purview Expert (m/w/d) based in Frankfurt am Main to lead data security and compliance initiatives for high-profile customers.

This role focuses on implementing Microsoft Purview solutions that protect organizational data assets while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. You will design and deploy information protection schemes, data loss prevention strategies, and retention policies that meet stringent security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and implement information protection schemes including sensitivity labels, encryption, sensitive information types, and auto-labeling capabilities within Purview
• Design and implement Data Loss Prevention solutions across the M365 stack and user endpoints, balancing security requirements with minimal user disruption
• Develop data retention solutions aligned with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and architect strategies that enhance data management and compliance
• Monitor adherence to data privacy and protection regulations, utilizing Purview's compliance capabilities to mitigate organizational risks
• Develop best practices for data protection and governance, and engage in business development and pre-sales activities
• Provide training and technical support to colleagues on Purview capabilities and data governance practices

What We're Looking For

• Citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or Austrian citizenship
• Excellent communication skills in both English and German
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Cloud technologies
• 2+ years of specialized expertise in Microsoft Purview
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Purview, including integrations with Microsoft 365 technologies such as Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender XDR
• Solid understanding of data protection regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, with demonstrated experience ensuring compliance within Purview environments
