Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential ticketing technology company seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on production ML systems that impact millions of users across pricing optimization, personalization, demand forecasting, and fraud detection.

You'll bridge the gap between research and production-ready systems, designing and building ML infrastructure that operates reliably at scale. This role involves close collaboration with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to transform experimental models into core product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and systems that operate reliably at scale in production environments
• Build and maintain ML infrastructure including feature stores, model serving platforms, and real-time inference pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research and experimental models into production-ready systems
• Solve complex technical challenges including real-time pricing optimization, demand forecasting, and fraud detection
• Develop automated ML pipelines for training, validation, deployment, and monitoring using MLOps best practices
• Evangelize ML capabilities across teams and integrate them into core product offerings

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years focused on machine learning systems and MLOps
• Proven experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments at scale
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization technologies
• Understanding of both batch and real-time ML systems, including model serving, A/B testing, and performance monitoring
• Passion for software craftsmanship with well-considered opinions about system architecture and code quality
• Product mindset that considers user experience, business impact, and system reliability beyond model accuracy
• Commitment to mentoring and collaborative teamwork in diverse environments

Helpful technical experience includes: Python/FastAPI, Go, C#/.NET Core, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS (SageMaker, Redshift, ECS), Airflow, and observability tools like Datadog.
