About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential IT distribution organization seeking a Product Manager specializing in Data Center and Network solutions. Our client operates one of the largest online platforms in their sector and has grown significantly since 1990. This role is based in Karlsruhe and offers the opportunity to shape procurement strategy for critical infrastructure products.
As part of our talent team at Get A Job.ai, we're looking for a strategic product manager who can build vendor relationships, analyze procurement markets, and drive commercial success in the data center space.
Responsibilities
- Manage strategic relationships with manufacturers and suppliers in the data center and network infrastructure space
- Analyze procurement markets, monitoring availability trends and pricing developments
- Contribute to pricing strategy, product placement, and targeted marketing activities within the online shop
- Conduct contract negotiations and expand manufacturer relationships and distribution contacts
- Ensure economical management of inventory levels in accordance with established guidelines
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns for product categories
- Travel occasionally for vendor meetings and industry events
What We're Looking For
- Completed commercial/business training or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, product management, or category management
- Prior experience in IT distribution or system integration, with focus on data center technologies (network and server infrastructure)
- Working knowledge of PowerBI, ERP systems, and MS Office suite
- Fluency in both German and English (minimum C1 level in both languages)
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market data and trends
