Account Executive – Financial Services

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential language services organization seeking an Account Executive to focus on the financial services sector in London. This is a full-time, office-based role requiring five days per week on-site attendance. Our talent team is managing the entire search process on behalf of our client.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the complete sales cycle—from lead generation through to close—developing new business relationships within financial services organizations while maintaining existing B2B client accounts. This role combines strategic business development with hands-on account management.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through direct sales activities including cold calling, digital outreach, and trade show participation
• Identify and qualify prospective customers within the financial services industry
• Develop and close sales opportunities in coordination with senior sales leadership
• Serve as first-level support for existing B2B clients, managing expectations and coordinating with production teams
• Build deep understanding of each client's industry, business needs, and organizational culture to identify expansion opportunities
• Manage pricing, contractual negotiations, and revenue projections
• Educate clients on service capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages
• Monitor budgets and perform necessary financial calculations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Interest in or previous experience with strategic business development, client services, or account management
• Knowledge of or experience within financial services or localization industries strongly preferred
• Superior written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong relationship-building abilities across diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent analytical skills for revenue projection and budget monitoring
• Proven ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated problem-solving initiative and commitment to high service standards
• Ability to commute to London office five days per week
• Previous account management experience is beneficial but not required
