Operations Agent – Freelance Project

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking an Operations Agent for a freelance project based in Ethiopia. Our client processes critical retirement plan transactions and needs skilled professionals who can deliver accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment.

This is a freelance opportunity working 9am - 6pm ET, supporting retirement plan participants with distributions and loan requests.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Process participant requests for distributions and loans from retirement plans with accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure all transactions comply with established procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
• Manage a high volume of time-sensitive requests while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Make outbound calls to participants to verify information and clarify request details
• Send professional, concise emails to participants requesting necessary supporting documentation
• Document all participant interactions and outcomes accurately in tracking systems
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and ensure participant satisfaction
• Remain receptive to feedback and continuously develop your skills and knowledge

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Familiarity with task management and CRM software such as Jira, Zendesk, Aircall, or similar platforms
• Understanding of retirement plans and associated processes including loans and distributions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional participant outreach and documentation
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in high-volume, detail-oriented operational environments
