Senior Business Developer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing food-tech client in Berlin. As Senior Business Developer, you will identify new business opportunities, develop existing operations, and drive strategic initiatives from analysis through implementation. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, commercial development, and execution, collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams including commercial, operations, finance, supply chain, product, and technology.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and evaluating growth opportunities, markets, partners, and business concepts
• Analyzing performance data and developing clear business cases with actionable recommendations
• Taking ownership of cross-functional projects from goal definition through measurable results
• Coordinating stakeholders, removing blockers, and establishing clarity on priorities and accountabilities
• Improving processes and supporting the launch of new products, locations, and markets
• Identifying meaningful opportunities for automation, AI, and new tools, and driving their implementation

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks an experienced business generalist from backgrounds in business development, commercial strategy, consulting, business operations, or high-growth startups.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in a commercial, strategic, analytical, or operational role
• Strong commercial judgment and instinct for market potential and business opportunities
• Proven ability to structure complex topics, develop recommendations, and lead projects through to implementation
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills with stakeholder management experience
• Hands-on working style with high ownership and consistent follow-through
• Ability to drive impact without formal authority
• Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, dashboards, presentations, and business tools
• Fluent German and professional English required
• Experience in food delivery, platform business models, retail, hospitality, or fast-growing startups is helpful but not required
