We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their remote team. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve customer technical inquiries using remote troubleshooting techniques
  • Analyze vulnerability scan results, system audits, and log events to provide clear, actionable guidance
  • Recreate customer software issues in laboratory environments for engineering assessment
  • Collaborate closely with sales, customer advocacy, R&D, and operations teams
  • Capture and channel customer feedback to product management and development teams
  • Create and publish solution knowledge articles for reuse by customers and internal teams
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of security products and information security best practices
  • Monitor personal performance metrics to consistently meet service goals
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience with networking (TCP/IP), Linux/Unix, macOS, and Windows administration
  • Experience with patch deployment and system configuration
  • Proven background providing technical support to enterprise clients and troubleshooting complex production environment issues
  • Demonstrated interest in AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) with hands-on experience professionally or personally
  • Knowledge of computer, network, and application security
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Must be based on or reside on the West Coast

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management or cybersecurity tools
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (JIRA, Salesforce, Zendesk)
  • Log analysis using SEIM products (Splunk, ElasticSearch)
  • Database technologies and SQL knowledge (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL)
  • Virtualization technology (VMWare, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, Docker)
  • Understanding of programming languages
  • Knowledge of Industry Security Standards (DISA, HIPAA, CIS, ISO 27001)
  • Experience with certificates and certificate authorities
  • Basic understanding of reviewing PCAPs with tools such as Wireshark
  • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish, Portuguese) are desirable but not required
  • Network security experience is a plus
