Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an Engineering Team Lead, Backend based in Paris. This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of core platform infrastructure that powers enterprise-grade AI solutions across finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and other high-stakes sectors.

You'll balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic leadership, building systems that serve both internal teams and external developers. This position reports directly to senior technical leadership and plays a critical role in shaping the platform's evolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a backend engineering team, removing obstacles so engineers can focus on solving complex technical challenges
• Translate product requirements into scalable technical architectures in collaboration with product stakeholders
• Ensure platform applications deliver strong performance, stability, and responsiveness at scale
• Maintain high code quality standards through reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement practices
• Own the complete software development lifecycle from initial design through production deployment
• Plan engineering projects including roadmaps, milestone definition, and resource allocation
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design functions to align technical and business objectives
• Drive team development through hiring, onboarding new engineers, and providing ongoing mentorship
• Contribute individual code when needed while maintaining strategic oversight of team deliverables

What We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Python with production experience using at least one modern web framework (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
• Additional proficiency in C#, Golang, or TypeScript with corresponding web framework experience
• Proven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
• Track record of building and leading engineering teams, with demonstrated people management skills
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Business stakeholders
• Deep knowledge of databases, caching strategies, and messaging systems in production environments
• Strong problem-solving abilities with careful attention to architectural detail
• Ownership mindset with ability to ship complete products from concept to production
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative, team-first approach
• Ability to work on-site in Paris, France
