SAP EDI Consultant

Join Freudenberg as a SAP EDI Consultant in one of our 2 locations. This is a full-time opportunity to drive electronic data interchange solutions and system optimization for a global industrial company.

What This Role Involves

As a SAP EDI Consultant with Freudenberg, you'll design, implement, and maintain electronic data interchange solutions within our SAP environment. You'll work with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain visibility, streamline vendor communications, and ensure seamless data flows across our enterprise systems. Your expertise will directly support our manufacturing and logistics operations, connecting us more efficiently with partners worldwide.

Core Duties

• Configure and manage EDI transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, shipment notices, and other critical business documents within SAP
• Design and optimize EDI mapping and transmission workflows to improve accuracy and reduce manual intervention
• Support EDI testing, deployment, and go-live activities for new trading partners and system upgrades
• Monitor EDI processes, troubleshoot transmission failures, and implement corrective actions to maintain operational continuity
• Collaborate with supply chain, IT, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions
• Document EDI configurations, processes, and best practices for knowledge retention and system governance

What You Bring

• Proven experience configuring SAP EDI modules, including IDocs and integration platforms
• Solid understanding of EDI standards and protocols such as EDIFACT, X12, and XML
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to data integrity
• Experience working with supply chain processes, particularly procurement and logistics workflows
• Ability to gather business requirements, design technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders
• Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver or modern integration platforms is valued
