(Senior) Social Media Manager (d/f/m)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential creative agency in Hamburg, is seeking a Social Media Manager or Senior Social Media Manager to join their dynamic team. Working with national and international brands, you will be responsible for developing and managing social media and campaign strategies across all major platforms.

You will plan, coordinate, and steer social media projects and campaigns, translating insights into strategic and creative recommendations. Your role includes developing social-first communication ideas, content approaches, and platform concepts that resonate with modern audiences.

You'll consult on social media trends, platform developments, creator culture, and digital communication opportunities. Leading workshops, briefing sessions, and collaborative formats with clients and internal teams will be a key part of your day-to-day work.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring project timelines and workflows, supporting new business pitches with strategic foundations, and staying ahead of societal, technological, and cultural developments to identify fresh opportunities for brands.

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital culture, and online communities
• Familiarity with platform mechanics, trends, and audience behavior across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant channels
• Excellent sense for storytelling, tone of voice, and platform-native communication
• Ability to develop and evaluate social content concepts for relevance, quality, and feasibility
• Confidence using social media management, analytics, and publishing tools
• Understanding of the interaction between organic social, paid social, and creator-driven communication
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with the ability to maintain overview in fast-paced environments
• Fluency in both German and English
