Senior Product Builder – Talent Pool

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in their search for a Senior Product Builder to join a newly created talent track. This is a remote opportunity for engineers who operate autonomously and can take features from concept to production independently.

In this role, you will:

• Transform ambiguous, high-level product concepts into concrete technical plans by engaging directly with stakeholders, without waiting for fully written specifications
• Design, build, and ship end-to-end features across the full stack, including backend services, REST APIs, data layer, testing, infrastructure, and deployment
• Work with a modern technology stack including Java/Spring backend, TypeScript, React, and associated frontend technologies
• Navigate and improve existing production codebases, making informed decisions about what to reuse, rebuild, or refactor while maintaining code quality
• Think systematically and anticipate second-order effects before they become production incidents
• Make independent technical and product tradeoff decisions, manage associated risks, and drive features to completion
• Leverage AI coding tools as a daily productivity multiplier, including building custom automations where they provide genuine value
• Apply critical thinking to challenge both AI-generated suggestions and product requirements when they don't hold up to scrutiny

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with:

• Strong full-stack engineering expertise with deep proficiency in Java (21), Spring Framework, REST APIs, SQL, TypeScript, and React 19
• Demonstrated track record of owning features or systems end-to-end, beyond simply executing predefined tickets
• Experience navigating and improving substantial existing codebases in production environments
• Advanced, hands-on experience using AI coding tools (such as Cursor, Claude, or similar) as part of daily workflow—you're already past the learning curve
• Comfort making decisions under ambiguity and owning outcomes
• Backgrounds that tend to succeed: technical founders, early-stage startup engineers who built initial versions, small-company CTOs or Heads of Engineering, or senior engineers with active open-source or side-project contributions

Technical environment includes: Java 21, Spring, REST APIs, SQL, TypeScript, React 19, Redux, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and modern AI development tools.
