About This Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist to join their remote administrative team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support quality patient care by ensuring smooth insurance processes across multiple states and payer systems.
This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare administrator who thrives in a structured, high-volume environment and takes pride in accuracy and proactive communication.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits across multiple payers and plan types
- Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required by insurance carriers
- Accurately update and maintain patient insurance records within the organization's EMR system (Prompt)
- Communicate effectively with patients and internal teams regarding insurance requirements and status
- Proactively follow up on pending verifications and authorization requests to prevent scheduling delays
- Identify and report issues that may affect patient treatment approval or scheduling
- Maintain organized digital records and support insurance documentation processes
- Collaborate with onsite and remote administrative staff via Microsoft Teams
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with insurance verification and prior authorization processes in a U.S. healthcare setting
- Background in outpatient healthcare or rehabilitation services strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of U.S. healthcare insurance terminology, workflows, and payer requirements
- Proficiency navigating payer websites, portals, and verification tools
- Experience working with EMR systems; familiarity with Prompt is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and record-keeping capabilities
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently with high accuracy and accountability in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and dual monitor setup required
- Availability to work full-time hours during U.S. Mountain Standard Time (MST)
