Strategischer Einkäufer Stahlbau (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Strategic Buyer for Steel Construction. In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for steel product categories including sheet metal, profiles, forged parts, and castings
• Analyze national and international procurement markets to identify opportunities and risks
• Select, qualify, and develop supplier relationships
• Independently negotiate framework agreements, pricing, and commercial terms
• Conduct cost analyses and implement savings initiatives
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams
• Manage supply chain risks including availability, price volatility, and geopolitical factors
• Support make-or-buy decisions with data-driven recommendations
• Resolve escalations within the supply chain

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally within industrial or related sectors
• Genuine curiosity and passion for technical and economic relationships
• Confident presence and strong negotiation skills
• Experience working with international suppliers
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style
• Fluent German and English language skills
• High willingness to travel
