Data Scientist

Hudson Manpower is recruiting a Data Scientist to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu, India. In this full-time position, you'll convert complex datasets into strategic insights that guide organisational decision-making and growth.

We're seeking a detail-oriented data professional who excels at translating raw data into intelligence. You'll own the entire data science lifecycle—from problem formulation through live model deployment—working with both structured and unstructured data across cloud infrastructure. Your ability to combine statistical reasoning with computational skill will unlock patterns that inform competitive strategy and operational improvement. Core Duties

• Direct all phases of data science engagements, including problem scoping, data exploration, algorithm development, performance validation, production deployment, and continuous monitoring.
• Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to examine complex, multi-dimensional datasets and extract actionable patterns.
• Build and deploy resilient, scalable automation frameworks for analytical processes and model pipelines, utilising cloud-based tools and infrastructure.
• Work with business units and senior leadership to clarify analytical objectives, establish technical requirements, and present findings in ways that resonate with both specialist and non-technical audiences.
• Construct intuitive, interactive dashboards and data visualisations that render intricate analytical results accessible and actionable.
• Monitor developments in machine learning, statistics, and cloud technology; recommend and implement emerging best-practice methodologies within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in data science, statistical modelling, business analytics, or closely related discipline.
• Working knowledge of programming languages used in data science, such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Solid grasp of statistical theory, probability, and foundational machine learning principles.
• Experience building and maintaining data solutions on cloud platforms.
• Ability to convey technical concepts and analytical findings to stakeholders without technical backgrounds.
• Strong communication and collaboration capabilities; comfortable partnering across teams and departments.
• Comfort with agile workflows; proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership in evolving environments.
