Product Manager (m/w/d) – Data Center / Network

We are representing a confidential IT distribution organization seeking a strategic Product Manager to oversee their Data Center and Network portfolio. This role is based in Karlsruhe and offers the opportunity to shape product strategy, vendor relationships, and market positioning within a fast-growing technology distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic relationships with manufacturers and suppliers in the data center and network infrastructure space
• Analyze procurement markets, monitoring availability trends and price developments
• Contribute to pricing strategy, product assortment positioning, and targeted marketing campaigns
• Conduct contract negotiations and support marketing activities to strengthen vendor partnerships
• Expand and maintain manufacturer relationships and distribution contacts
• Ensure economically sound inventory build-up and reduction in accordance with company guidelines

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed commercial training or equivalent qualification
• Multiple years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, product management, or category management
• Previous experience preferably in IT distribution or system integration with a focus on data center technologies (network and server infrastructure)
• Proficiency with PowerBI, ERP systems, and MS Office suite
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes
• Negotiation-level German and English skills (both minimum C1 level)
• Strong analytical capabilities and commercial understanding
