Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a Business Development Representative to drive market awareness and new client acquisition. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, focusing on the early stages of the sales funnel. Your mission is to build relationships, generate enthusiasm for AI-powered solutions, and fill the pipeline with qualified leads.

You will act as the initial touchpoint for companies exploring AI and technology solutions, communicating business value rather than simply listing features. Your work involves building industry knowledge, conducting strategic nurturing conversations with decision-makers, and driving both inbound and outbound lead generation efforts.

From day one, you will take ownership beyond appointment setting. You will independently pitch proof-of-concept projects and close your own deals. Before advancing leads through the funnel, you will analyze customer needs strategically, consulting rather than pushing, and establishing lasting relationships.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in sales or business development, ideally in a consultative environment or with exposure to AI or industrial software/hardware
• Strong sales mentality with passion for direct customer contact and measurable results
• Excellent communication skills with confidence in proactively approaching potential clients
• Enthusiasm for Industry 4.0 and machine learning technologies
• Comfort working in a dynamic startup environment and helping build processes
• AI-affinity and interest in staying current with emerging technologies
• German language proficiency preferred given the client's market focus
