About This Opportunity
Our client, a confidential financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Database Tester to join their team. This is a long-term project based in either McLean, VA, or Plano, TX, with a full-time onsite requirement (5 days per week).
We are representing this client exclusively through Get A Job.ai. This role focuses on database and data pipeline validation rather than application UI testing, requiring deep expertise in data modeling and metadata workflows.
Responsibilities
- Test complex data workflows, metadata structures, and data modeling implementations
- Validate database integrity, relationships, and entity structures
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for data pipelines and transformations
- Collaborate with data architects and engineers to ensure data quality standards
- Document testing procedures and defects with detailed technical analysis
- Perform regression testing on database changes and schema updates
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience as a Database Tester, specifically testing data and metadata workflows
- Strong background in data modeling concepts including entities, relationships, and normalization
- Proven ability to test beyond application UI layers, focusing on backend data validation
- Experience with SQL and database query optimization for testing purposes
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehouse testing methodologies
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in either McLean, VA, or Plano, TX
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
