About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Databricks Platform Administrator for a remote contract-to-hire engagement. Our client operates on Eastern Time and requires candidates available to work EST hours. This is a 6-month contract with strong potential for permanent placement.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Databricks platform infrastructure
- Configure and optimize Databricks workspaces and clusters
- Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues
- Manage user access, permissions, and security protocols
- Implement best practices for data governance and platform stability
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support their workflows
- Document platform configurations and standard operating procedures
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience administering Databricks platforms in production environments
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with cluster management, performance tuning, and resource optimization
- Knowledge of security best practices and access control management
- Familiarity with Apache Spark and distributed computing concepts
- Ability to work EST business hours from a remote location
- Authorized to work in the United States on W2 basis
