Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential AI technology organization in their search for an Applied AI Architect, Education based in London, UK. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Our client partners with universities, schools, research institutions, and education systems globally to advance responsible AI adoption. You will serve as the senior technical owner for a portfolio of education customers, acting as the primary technical counterpart to their leadership teams. This role sits at the intersection of technical strategy, customer partnership, and practical deployment expertise.

Responsibilities

As the Applied AI Architect for Education, you will:

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and relationship owner for a named portfolio of existing education customers and prospects
• Partner with account directors on commercial strategy while owning the technical account plan, adoption roadmap, and value-realization path
• Lead discovery with institutional executives, academic leaders, researchers, faculty, and technical teams to identify and prioritize use cases aligned with institutional objectives
• Design Applied AI architectures spanning models, applications, institutional data, identity, integrations, security, privacy, governance, and evaluation
• Guide institutions through technical evaluations, demonstrations, workshops, prototypes, and proofs of value
• Develop focused use-case portfolios across teaching and learning, research, student and faculty services, knowledge management, and administrative operations
• Build trusted relationships across CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, provosts, deans, research leaders, faculty, and administrators
• Coordinate support from deployment engineering, implementation, training, product, research, and partner teams while remaining accountable for technical outcomes
• Track adoption, usage, account health, and measurable customer impact, intervening early when risks emerge
• Identify repeatable patterns and reusable architectures to accelerate responsible AI adoption across education institutions
• Translate field insights into actionable feedback for product and engineering teams

What We're Looking For

You might thrive in this role if you have:

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account leadership, AI deployment, or technical customer success
• A proven track record guiding complex organizations from technical evaluation through production adoption and measurable value realization
• The ability to build credibility with senior technical and business leaders while communicating effectively with hands-on engineers
• Strong software and cloud architecture foundations, including APIs, distributed systems, data integration, identity, security, and privacy
• Understanding of modern AI systems, frontier LLM models, agentic applications, model evaluation, retrieval, or enterprise AI workflows
• Ability to prototype, explain technical tradeoffs, and work confidently with APIs, SDKs, and languages such as Python or JavaScript
• Sound judgment about when to dive deep personally versus when to involve specialists and how to define clear handoffs
• Experience developing technical account plans, prioritizing customer portfolios, and connecting adoption to measurable outcomes
• The ability to translate technical capabilities into institutional value across student success, research productivity, faculty enablement, accessibility, risk, and governance
• Strong communication skills and the ability to turn ambiguity and competing stakeholder needs into practical action plans
• A collaborative mindset and genuine commitment to helping education institutions deploy AI safely and responsibly
• Experience with education technology, higher education, K-12 systems, research institutions, or similarly mission-driven environments is a strong plus
