Senior Einkäufer Bau-und Ingenieurleistungen (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential engineering consultancy in their search for a Senior Procurement Specialist focused on construction and engineering services. In this role, you will manage the complete procurement cycle for national and international infrastructure and industrial projects.

• Lead national and international procurement and tendering processes from RFP through contract award
• Prepare, review, and negotiate tender documents, proposals, and construction/subcontractor contracts
• Analyze and evaluate bids, preparing award recommendations based on technical, commercial, and contractual criteria
• Conduct bidder meetings and lead price, contract, and award negotiations with domestic and international contractors
• Advise project teams on all procurement and contract-related matters
• Develop and implement procurement and tendering strategies, particularly for EPCM projects
• Maintain and enhance contract templates, standards, and procurement processes in collaboration with internal departments
• Perform market, price, and cost analyses to identify savings and optimization opportunities
• Ensure audit-compliant contract and procurement documentation
• Support digitalization and continuous improvement of procurement, tendering, and contract management processes

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed commercial, business administration, or comparable training/degree
• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience, ideally in procurement of services within industrial construction or infrastructure environments
• Experience conducting complex tendering and procurement processes
• Knowledge of German and European public procurement law is desirable
• Strong understanding of commercial relationships and contract/procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation skills, assertiveness, and communication abilities
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP or procurement systems is advantageous
• Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency in written and spoken form (minimum C1 level)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Essen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany
