Responsibilities
We are representing a growing organization in Berlin seeking a Senior Financial Controller to take on a key role in their finance operations. You will be responsible for driving financial planning and analysis while working closely with accounting and management teams.
In this position, you will:
- Support monthly and annual closings according to HGB standards
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses to guide business decisions
- Serve as a Finance Business Partner for accounting and internal stakeholders
- Create and monitor cash flow planning and projections
- Analyze plan-versus-actual variances and develop actionable recommendations
- Enhance reporting frameworks, calculations, and financial KPIs
- Optimize controlling processes and support expansion of the BI infrastructure
- Ensure data quality and advance relevant finance systems and interfaces
What We're Looking For
Our client needs someone with:
- Completed degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or comparable commercial qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial controlling
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly HGB
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and BI systems
- Excellent analytical capabilities and affinity for numbers
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain financial matters clearly
- German at C1/C2 level and English at minimum B2 level
The role is based in Berlin with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, including workation options.
